"Alesta looked down at her laptop. She was
still connected to the internet. I haven’t checked Facebook in ages, she
thought. She logged on, and began browsing the latest feed. Margini Peters in now engaged. “Good for
you Margini,” she said aloud as she paged further down. She looked up at the Search tab. She had an urge, one she had
been fighting off since seeing him. Can’t hurt just checking what he’s been up
to since...she thought to herself. She sighed, and after a few minutes, eventually
gave in, her fingers typing in furiously ‘Seth
Becker’.
“Great! Seven hundred hits. That is a lot
of Seth Beckers!” She paged down, trying to locate his picture, or any
information that would lead her to his profile, but to no avail. “Maybe it’s a
sign,” she said to herself. She logged out and disconnected her laptop from the
internet.
It was freezing tonight. No rain or wind,
but the air itself was cold. A good action movie, Chinese food, and cuddling on
the couch with my love, that is all I need, she thought.
Josh arrived about an hour later, broad
grin on his face, “Hey sweetheart,” he kissed her on the forehead. “I found some
of that chocolate pudding you love so much,” he said excitedly. As she grabbed a
shopping bag from him, and smiled at her loving boyfriend, Seth Becker began to
fade from her mind."
